{"id":3558,"date":"2019-11-07T11:34:31","date_gmt":"2019-11-07T07:34:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anima.az\/2019\/11\/ii-animafilm-festivali-basa-catdi-qalibl%c9%99r-%c9%99lan-olunub\/"},"modified":"2023-06-04T19:06:58","modified_gmt":"2023-06-04T15:06:58","slug":"ii-animafilm-festivali-basa-catdi-qalibler-elan-olunub","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anima.az\/en\/2019\/11\/ii-animafilm-festivali-basa-catdi-qalibler-elan-olunub\/","title":{"rendered":"II ANIMAFILM is over, winners announced!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class='epvc-post-count' style='padding-bottom: 20px;'><span class='epvc-label'> Bax\u0131\u015f say\u0131:<\/span> <span class=\"epvc-count\"> 1,254<\/span><\/div><div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>On October 18-20, 2019, the <b>2nd ANIMAFILM International Animation Festival<\/b> held in Baku with a view to contributing to the development of Azerbaijani animation.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s festival was held with the support of The Azerbaijan Union of Filmmakers (key partner and sponsor) chaired by prominent director, screenwriter <b>Rustam Ibragimbekov<\/b>, Embassies of the Czech Republic and France in Azerbaijan, \u201cChinar Yayimlari\u201d publishing, French Institute in Azerbaijan, and the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n<p>The theme of 2nd ANIMAFILM was <b>Czech animation<\/b>. Czech animated films have been screened under the non-competition program of the festival. The poster of the festival was created by Czech animation director <b>Filip\u00a0Posivac<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>The first day of the festival hosted a conference, which was dedicated to the <b>50th anniversary of Azerbaijani animation<\/b>, along with screenings of dozens of local and international animated films for children and adults.<\/p>\n<p>For the next two days, as in the previous year, <b>animation workshops<\/b> were organized for children of different age groups. The workshops have been led by French and Greek animators. In the course of the festival, <b>jury programs<\/b>, presentations of <b>Greek and Czech animation<\/b>, competition programs and other events took place. This festival was the continuation of the 1st ANIMAFILM International Animation Festival (2018) which is an annual event aiming to develop animation art in Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Jbui4iaAozo\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This year, a <b>Children\u2019s Jury<\/b> was established at the festival, which was a novelty. The selection of child jury members was made by <b>Elchin Hami Akhundov<\/b>, a well-known animation director and honored art worker in Azerbaijan. For this reason, the selection committee had to nullify the award category for \u201cBest Azerbaijani Animated Film\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><b>Masud Panachi<\/b>, the laureate of the 1st ANIMAFILM Golden Boat Award, has been leading the international jury.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the organizing committee of ANIMAFILM festival has rewarded both animation directors <b>Frangiz Kurbanova<\/b> and <b>Elchin Hami Akhundov<\/b> with <b>Golden Boat Award<\/b> for their invaluable contribution to Azerbaijani animation.<\/p>\n<p><b>At the end of the festival, participants signed an open letter to the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. In the letter the participants of the festival ask for higher education in the field of animation, as well as financial support for national animation.
