IV ANIMAFILM International Animation Festival was held in Baku\u00a0on September 3-7, 2021. Over 200 animated films\u00a0from 40 countries were screened for children and adults during 5 days. This year the festival’s theme was\u00a0dedicated to people with disabilities.<\/p>\n

The festival featured a reach educational program, including Masud\u00a0Panahi\u2019s masterclass for animation students, Nancy Danny-Phelps and Nick Phelps\u2019 seminar for composers and sound engineers; and Olivier Catherine\u2019s workshop for film producers.<\/p>\n

The jury of IV ANIMAFILM Festival included\u00a0Masud\u00a0Panahi, Irada Baghirzade<\/b> (Azerbaijan),\u00a0Olivier Catherine<\/b> (France),\u00a0Nancy Danny-Phelps<\/b>\u00a0and Nick Phelps<\/b>\u00a0(Belgium), Mariam Kandelaki<\/b> (Georgia), Piotr Kardas<\/b> (Poland), Mehdi Khorushy<\/b>\u00a0and Maryam Rouhbakhsh<\/b> (Iran). The head of the Jury was Nancy Danny-Phelps<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Traditionally, the Children’s Jury\u00a0selected two winners in the categories of Best Short Animated Film for Children and Best Short Animated Film Made by Children after participating in an educational and entertaining\u00a0program during the festival.<\/p>\n

The winners were announced at the closing ceremony of the ANIMAFILM festival on September 7. Director of photography Ramiz Aghayev<\/b> was awarded the Golden Boat Award for his contribution to the Azerbaijani animation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Best Short Animated Film Made by Children – Monster<\/b>, director\u00a0Koosha Yusefi<\/b>, Iran.<\/p>\n

Best Short Experimental or Abstract Animated Film – Rites of Spring<\/b>, director\u00a0Yiorgos Tsangaris<\/b>, Cyprus.<\/p>\n

Best Short Student Animated Film –\u00a0Three Jumps to Happiness<\/b>, director Artur Hanaj<\/b>. Poland.<\/p>\n

Best Animated TV series – Mitch-Match<\/b>, director\u00a0G\u00e9za M. T\u00f3th<\/b>, Hungary.<\/p>\n

Best Animated Music Video – Agapito<\/b>, directors\u00a0Rafael Vidal Altabert<\/b> and Juli\u00e1n G\u00f3mez Caballero<\/b>, Spain.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
