The selection committee of the 5th ANIMAFILM International Animation Festival announces the films that are included in the competition program.<\/p>\n

All films will be evaluated by the International Jury and winners will be announced at opening and closing ceremonies of the 5th ANIMAFILM Festival.<\/p>\n

The selection committee for animated films: Demetrios Poursanidis (Greece), Carlos Douglas (USA), Liz Manresa (France), Hasan Pastaci (Belgium), Firangiz Baghirova (Azerbaijan), Nazrin Aghamaliyeva (Azerbaijan), Shira Roth (USA), Nitya Ramlogan (USA), Katerina Ku (Czech Republic), Lewis Barr (United Kingdom), Sonia Sarlak (Iran).<\/p>\n

230 films from 50 different countries were submited to the festival. The selection committee accepted 75 films from 29 countries for the competition. These films will compete in 1 local and 6 international categories. In addition, the Audience Award competition is announced this year. The winner of the Audience Award will be determined by the audience, who can vote after screenings.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Also, the competition in the categories “Best Feature Animated Film” and ” Best Short Animated Film Made by Children ” will not take place due to the small number of submitted films.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that the 5th ANIMAFILM International Animation Festival will be held in Baku on September 7-11, 2022. The festival is dedicated to the theme “CLIMATE CHANGE”. Within the framework of the festival, along with the screening and discussion of films related to climate change, a large charity campaign will be held. Thus, all the funds obtained from the ticket sales of the festival will be used for planting trees. Ticket sales information will be announced soon.<\/p>\n
