Organised by Azerbaijan Animation Association and supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the 6th ANIMAFILM International Animation Festival will be held in Baku at the Nizami Cinema Center from September 6th to 10th, 2023.<\/p>\n

The festival’s selection committee has announced the list of films included in the competition program.<\/p>\n

The members of the selection committee are as follows: Demetrios Poursanidis (Greece), Carlos Douglas (USA), Nicolas Fattouh (Lebanon), N\u0259zrin A\u011famal\u0131yeva, Fir\u0259ngiz Ba\u011f\u0131rova, \u00dclviyy\u0259 M\u0259mm\u0259dova (Azerbaijan).<\/p>\n

The films will be evaluated by international and children’s jury, and the winners will be announced at the closing ceremony of the 6th ANIMAFILM festival. The members of the international jury will be announced soon.<\/p>\n

A total of 174 films from 46 countries have been submitted to the festival. The selection committee has accepted 39 films from 13 countries for the competition. These films will compete in two international and two local categories.<\/p>\n

The following awards will be offered to the winners:<\/p>\n

  • The international competition\u2019s prize in the nomination \u201cBest Short Animation Film \u2013 Grand Prix\u201d \u2014 1000 US dollars.<\/li>\n
  • The international competition\u2019s prize in the nomination \u201cThe Best Short Animated Film for Children\u201d \u2014 500 US dollars.<\/li>\n
  • Local competition prize for \u201cBest Azerbaijani Short Animated Film\u201d \u2014 500 US dollars.<\/li>\n
  • Local competition prize for \u201cBest Azerbaijani Student Short Animated Film\u201d \u2014 300 US dollars.<\/li>\n
  • The Audience Award Prize.<\/li>\n
  • Special Awards of Partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
