In 2025, to ensure the operation of the Azerbaijan Animation Association, we rented an office near the “Icherisheher” metro station and named the space “Animation House”. This space is open to all members of the Association (currently, the Association has 46 members), and we intend to hold various training sessions, film screenings, presentations, and masterclasses there, as well as provide space and equipment support to professionals and studios specializing in animation. We renovated the space and purchased furniture through our own efforts, along with the financial and non-financial support of our members. In February, with the support of the British Council, we organized masterclasses by the renowned British animation producer Aaron Wood at the Animation House. In March, we organized screenings of Azerbaijani animated films, as well as a masterclass by Kyrgyz animator Chingiz Asanaliyev.
On March 23, 2025, organized by the Azerbaijan Animation Association, an “Intensive 2D Animation Course” began at the Animation House. We received 45 applications for the course, from which 18 students were selected. The course will last for one month, with classes held six times a week. At the end of the course, we intend to involve the most talented students in the production of new animated films and provide them with employment. Our goal is to increase the number of professionals in the animation field, which in turn will help produce more films.
