

The Cinema Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ARKA), operating under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, announces the “Support competition for film projects in the post-production stage” for 2026. The acceptance of documents for the competition will begin on March 10 and continue until April 23.
The purpose of the competition is to stimulate film production, increase competitiveness among independent production centers and other persons operating in this field, as well as to support joint film production.
The competition is held among film projects that are in the post-production stage and intended for mass screening. Projects will be reviewed in three stages – admission, evaluation by the Artistic Council, and documentation.
The maximum support amount for a single film in local projects is 30 thousand manats for full-length feature films, 18 thousand manats for full-length documentaries, 20 thousand manats for full-length docufiction films, 15 thousand manats for short feature and docufiction films, and 13 thousand manats for short documentaries and animated films. In international projects, the amount is 45 thousand manats for full-length feature films, 27 thousand manats for full-length documentaries, 30 thousand manats for full-length docufiction films, 22 thousand 500 manats for short feature and docufiction films, and 19 thousand 500 manats for short documentaries and animated films.
For the first time, support will also be provided to local projects prepared with artificial intelligence. Thus, the amount of this support will be a maximum of 10 thousand manats.
