Biography:
Firangiz Baghirova was born on February 24th, 1996, in Moscow. She received a bachelor’s degree in Italian philology from M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University. In 2018–2022, she studied computer animation and graduated with a master’s degree from the Rome University of Fine Arts in Rome, Italy. From 2020–2022, she worked as a 3D animator at Azanfilm Animation Studio in Baku, Azerbaijan.
On November 13, 2021, her animated short film project The Last Feather, created in collaboration with poet Leyli Salayeva won the 7th Animated Film Project Development/Pitching workshop held in Georgia. Following the award, Firangiz participated in a one-month artist residency program at the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud (NEF Animation, France) as the director of The Last Feather project in October 2022.
Since 2023, she is the member of Azerbaijan Animation Association.
