Biography:

Kabira Hashimova was born in 1977 in the Gymir village, Zagatala region, Azerbaijan. In 1993, she graduated from the 9th grade of secondary school and entered the 3-year art school No. 84 in Baku. She worked as an artist at Gymir village secondary school from 1997 to 2000. From 2005 to 2009, she studied at the painting faculty of the Azerbaijan State Art Academy. Since 2008, she has been working as a restoration-artist at the National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi.

Since 2009, she has been working as an animator. In 2014, her film “Dog Philosophy” won the “1-minute animation” competition organized by the Ministry of Culture. During 2016-2020, she worked as an editor and animator at the GURAMA children’s animation studio.

She has been a member of the Union of Artists since 2021, and a member of the Azerbaijan Animation Association since 2022.
